Our goal at the TRiO program is to help students succeed during their college experience. The two most obvious ways to measure success are by helping students graduate OR by assisting them with transferring to a 4-year university. You may find that once you complete your desired degree here you still want more expertise. TRiO Staff is more than happy to assist you in the transfer process.

Other Transfer Tips

• Start researching schools as soon as possible
• Schedule a meeting for a campus tour and meeting with an admissions representative or a faculty member from your desired program
• If you are moving to a new location, research the surrounding community as well as the college or university
• Make sure you understand all of the admissions requirements and the application process to the schools you may be transferring to
• Ask about any scholarships or financial assistance specifically for transfer students
• Talk with your current instructors. They are valuable resource for information on different programs. They can also serve as a reference or write letters of recommendation
