• Selected new students are eligible to attend our Summer Institute to improve reading and writing skills before they begin classes fall semester.
• This course is designed to help students who did not meet the Accuplacer requirements for reading and writing.
• The Summer Institute offers students the “leg-up” on their studies
• The Summer Institute is FREE!
• The Summer Institute offers a course called Foundations of College Success. This is a 4 credit course that replaces the developmental reading and writing classes students may have been required to take in the fall.

Extra bonuses

• Students attend workshops on topics like: study skills, D2L, Time Management, Math Skills, and College Connections which helps familiarize new students to campus resources.
• The Summer Institute also provides opportunities for team-building and deeper connection building with a small group of peers.
