Application to Practical Nursing Program

Applications will be accepted until the program is full. The application will be pulled from the web once the class has reached the required size.

This Application to the nursing program is in addition to the application to the St Cloud Technical College. Please apply to the St Cloud Technical College first.  All required paperwork is also due at this time. This includes, CPR card, NA certificate (or proof of class), and work experience.

HLTH 1400---NA/HHA-or HLTH 1402 NA- verification of 75 hour course requirement (Class listed on transcript OR certificate of completion on file in Nursing Office)

Rubric guidelines

 

  • A point system is used for applicants considered for the LPN Program.
  • Applicants considered for admission to the LPN program must have completed successfully the general education courses: BLGY 2310, 2320, ENGL 1302, CMST 1320 OR 2310, PSYC 1304 (A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required.)
  • Applicants considered for admission must have either completed a 3 credit-Nurse Aid course or provide verification of completion of a 75 hour Nursing Assistant course.
  • Applicants will need to have a current CPR card (Healthcare Provider-Adult, Child, Infant/AED)

 

Cumulative GPA point for point (minimum 2.5). Only courses listed above will be used to compute the GPA.

Applicants: Note there are 2 tiers based on when the requirements are met.
Tier 1- This tier will be made up of students meeting all requirements prior to the application deadline.
Tier 2-  This tier will be made up of students meeting all requirements by the end of the semester preceding the PN program start. (for example, a student can apply within the dates listed above, and will be in tier 2 if all requirements are completed fall 2009 semester). A grade of “C” or better and a GPA of 2.5 or above must be maintained.
