Admissions Process

• Review the Paramedicine website information for Program Admissions Criteria
• Attend a Paramedicine Information Meeting
• Apply to SCTC and declare a HCT/Paramedicine Major
• Plan which classes to take and in what order, based on your schedule, class availability and prerequisites classes.  Know your program prerequisites and which classes you need to take.  See Program Checklist.
• Contact or meet with the HCT/Paramedicine Enrollment Specialist each semester if you are uncertain of which classes to take or if you need help understanding if you meet the Admissions Criteria.

Admissions Criteria

• Current  certification for CPR for Healthcare Provider and EMT Basic (MN EMSRB EMT-B)
• Medical Terminology HLTH 1440 - 1 cr
• Anatomy and Physiology 1 BLGY 2310 - 4 cr

Recommended Electives

It is highly recommended that the required electives are completed before starting the program:

• Humanities Elective - 3 cr
• Psychology Elective - 3 cr
• Written Communications Elective - 4 cr
• Anatomy and Physiology 2 BLGY 2320 - 4 cr
