Admissions Process:

• Review the Health Care Technician web pages for Program Admissions Criteria
• Apply to SCTCC and declare a Health Care Technician Major
• Plan which classes to take and in what order, based on your schedule, class availability and prerequisites classes.  Know your prerequisite classes.  Know your program prerequisites and which classes you need to take.
• Complete the SCTCC admissions process and attend a registration session.
• Registered HCT/Health Care Technician students at SCTCC meet with the HSHS Division Enrollment Specialist to receive their registration access code.  To learn more about academic advising please click here.

• Reading Strategies READ 0304, Placement Testing Scores above READ 0304, or Previous College Transcripts that meet READ 0304 or above.
• Review the Nursing Assistant course information to understand requirements as related to the required Nursing Assistant Course.
