Pandemic Plan Pandemic Planning at St. Cloud Technical College Influenza pandemics have occurred about three times per century. The H5N1 avian influenza virus may cause our next pandemic. To view the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Pandemic Planning webpage, follow the link below.
Avian Flu Information Currently there have been cases of avian flu contracted by humans in different parts of the world. Avian flu, at this point in time, is not infectious from humans to humans except in rare cases from close contact with one another. A committee at St. Cloud Technical College has developed a Pandemic Response Plan for the campus, under the guidance of MnSCU. The plan is linked below. While it's still unclear if such an outbreak will be severe or moderate, or even if such an outbreak will occur, the planning continues. This web page will be updated with any new or additional information.
