NSAC Team from SCTC Prepares for Century Council Campaign Competition
Posted 9:45 am - March 24th, 2009 inEach year, College and University advertising teams from across the country prepare a real-life Advertising Campaign for a real client, as part of the NSAC (National Student Advertising Competition) Event, sponsored by the American Advertising Federation.
Teams work off a prepared case study provided by the client, do primary and secondary research, demonstrate creative solutions, provide advertising recommendations, as well as product positioning and media selections as part of their finished presentation.
A dedicated group of students from the SCTC Advertising Communication & Design Program has been busy preparing for their upcoming NSAC (National Student Advertising Competition), being held April 24-25th at Radisson University Hotel in Minneapolis, MN.
This year’s event sponsor is The Century Council and the company has asked teams to create and present advertising recommendations in an attempt to curb underage drinking on college campuses.
The NSAC is put on by the AAF (American Advertising Federation) each year and gives students enrolled in Advertising Communication & Design, the opportunity to work and learn with students who share similar interests in advertising, as well as travel, meet life long friends, network with business and industry, and to work with other students as members of the SCTC NSAC team.

Team members are: (left to right – back row) Jennifer Krapfl, Riley Gruber, Simon Schiffler, Cody Grambart, Andrea Belzer. (front row) Tawny Bengston, Alicia Bednar, Kelsey Beumer and Cara Grand.
