Yes, the SCTC Foundation maintains a 501(c)3 status; therefore, a gift to the campaign is considered tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

As a public-supported college, why does the SCTC Foundation need to conduct a fund-raising campaign?
St. Cloud Technical College is tax assisted, not tax supported. The college needs additional resources to pay for program, equipment, and training not provided for by current tax dollars.

Why do technical college students need scholarship awards?
The St. Cloud Technical College student body is becoming increasingly diverse, including many returning adults, and people with special needs. Direct financial assistance will help students in need reach their educational goals.


How does St. Cloud Technical College effectively provide educational services to Central Minnesota ’s workforce?
SCTC has over 100 career majors and various training and retraining opportunities. The majority of graduates are from the service area and become part of the local workforce.

In what forms may gifts be donated?
Donors may make gifts in the form of cash, stock, securities, personals property, and planned gifts of many kinds. We encourage donors to discuss their gift with their tax and financial advisors to determine the kinds of gifts that will best suit their personal circumstances and be of maximum benefit to the college.
