Help and Training at SCTC

If you need help using the campus technologies, you have three sources for your answers.

  • Instructors: instructors are your best contact for using any machinery or software specific to your class.  Since different courses require using tools in different ways, your instructor will be able to help guide you through the proper techniques to complete your class assignments.

  • General Computer Labs: our open computer labs have helpful assistants who have been trained to answer basic questions about logging into the campus network, using your campus email, and showing you how to save files into your campus file storage area (network drive).  We have two open computer labs - they are located in rooms 1-405 and 1-329.

  • Tutorials and Training Materials: whether you are working on campus or working on assignments from home, you can find training videos, handouts, and other guides to technology in these web pages.  As you start your classes at SCTC, it is smart practice to take a tour through the pages to see what is available and to read through tips which will help you complete work more quickly and accurately.
  • Computer Help Desk: Please contact the Computer Help Desk at 320-308-6445 with any computer troubleshooting or operational issues.  The Help Desk is located in the MIS area.
