Child Care
Campus Playhouse Child Care Center is
conveniently located on-site at the St. Cloud Technical College. The center is available for students and staff of St. Cloud Technical College, and is operated by Campus Playhouse Child Care Center, Inc. with guidance from an advisory committee made up of representatives from the student body, staff and community.
Campus Playhouse Child Care Center provides quality care that enhances the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development of each child and strives to help each child gain confidence and self-esteem while learning to function in a group. We believe that children learn through their play situations as well as through a structured environment.
Hours
The center is licensed from 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. Operating hours are 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. with evening care based upon need and minimum attendance. The basic days of full-operation follows the St. Cloud Technical College calendar. Currently, the child care center is open year -round based upon the school calendar.
Registration
At the time of enrollment, each application must be accompanied by a non-refundable registration fee of $15. Enrollment forms are required to be completed prior to child(ren)’s first day of attendance. If you are enrolling for an upcoming semester, you will receive a letter regarding when/where to pick up enrollment forms. Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis.

Facility
The facility consists of three large rooms, as well as an outdoor, fenced play area for children. The staff working in the facility are hired by Campus Playhouse Child Care Center Inc. Children receive two meals (breakfast and lunch) as well as an afternoon snack. Parents are welcome to visit the center at any time and observe and/or participate in room activities.
Program/Curriculum
Children participate in a well-planned program. Each day, the staff designs developmentally appropriate learning experiences to meet the needs of the individual child as well as the entire group. This includes opportunities for creative art, music, science, cooking, language arts, dramatic play, cognitive (knowledge) development, large and small muscle development, and outdoor exploration and play.
Ages Served
We are licensed for the following ages:
- Infants (6 weeks - 16 months)
- Toddlers (16 months - 31 months)
- Preschoolers (31 months - Kindergarten)
